Allotment - April

The second visit to my lovely new allotment - just two months behind schedule.

Hope this finds you all springing into the new season!

  1. It's looking great! I'm an impatient gardener too, which is why gardening is so good for me - it all grows at it's own pace, not at the speed I want it to grow at :-) xx

  2. Eeek, not sure I'd have planted that mint straight in to the ground, I'd have sunk a pot for it to grow in. Can you tell I've had a bad experience? Our first allotmet plot had mint growing all over it and we never managed to get rid of it, it smelt gorgeous though as you wandered around as you couldn't help but tread on it, releasing its scent. I love your new neighbours, I don't think I'd get any work done if I had them as neighbours, I'd be too busy watching them.

  3. Your new neighbors are so cute!!! I wouldn't get anything done if they lived next to me, I'd just be watching them all day. :)

  4. Fantastic to see what you are getting up to - and to hear your voice again, I know just who to listen out for now!! Looking forward to meeting you! I hope that Elmer doesn't keep on making an appearance though, not very peaceful for you - see I did watch the end credits too! xx

  5. Fantastic! I love your enthusiasm. We bought some really tiny 'sticks' of currant bushes from the 99p store.Looking at your large £2 'sticks' I think we were had! I'll photograph them for my blog so you can see what I mean. I've just bought some more seeds today.I love the optimism of spring.

  10. Thoroughly enjoyed The Allotment : Episode 2, and greatly admire not only your cultivating skills but also your ability to remain calm whilst a gun battle of sorts ensued around you! Bravo! 😉 And kudos to Mike the camera crew too.
Looking forward to catching up on Saturday, see you there 😊 xx

  11. It is lovely to have a garden space. Growing things and having them thrive gives such a sense of accomplishment and joy. I'm very happy we have two balconies where I can have plants, though keeping them alive during the summer months isn't always easy and we lose some when the heat really sets in. Also hard to keep things clean because of the dust, but I don't give up. I need to be surrounded by green. :) Have a fabulous Friday. Tammy

  15. It was delightful to look around your allotment - what a good size it is! When we had an allotment I think it was about an 1/8 of yours. I was bemused by the shooting sounds in the background - glad to see it was only Elmer Fudd. Looking forward to the next vid - lots will have grown by then. Judy.
