Allotment Update!

The evenings have been too lovely to stay indoors so we've been creating mischief at the plot!

What's going up in your garden?

  1. How lovely to get a tour of your allotment and how innovative to do it in the way of a video. I especially love the bicycle wheel structure for growing your squashes!

  2. Loving your allotment updates series - and EVERY self-respecting greenhouse should have bunting! IMHO of course ;-)

  5. Brilliant! Love the wheels too (might have to nick that idea!) You should grow lots and sell your surplus at a boot fair maybe?
P.S. I think I would be sulking if you had sawed my legs in 3.

  6. Great Jane!!! I am glad that the garlic chives are doing well!!!! Everything else looks great too! It is traditional to grow squash up things, so I am sure that yours will do really well going up the wheels, and if they don't you have a great sculpture!! Love the greenhouse bunting too, now you need some decoration for the shed!! I hope that you have a great weekend gardening!!! xx

  8. Mike's got some impressive erections there, I do like those bicycle wheels, a great idea. Glad to see that you've got the mint in buckets, always better to err on the side of caution, and what about the bunting in the greenhouse, I love it.

  9. I was wondering what the bicycle wheels were for the whole of the way through. Can't wait to see the 'petit' pans growing up them in the summer. I'm loving these videos - particularly the comedy subtitles - keep them coming! Judy.

  10. It's all looking great, Jane, and thanks for the mention! Why shouldn't a greenhouse have bunting? And I think that sawing a plant might be less potentially damaging to life and limb than hacking at it with a spade - your bergamot will thank you for being divided and I'm sure the new plants will be a fantastic size very quickly xx
