... I've finished a thing!
Or two things to be more precise.
I used this
and this
(obviously lured in by this)
and ended up with these!
(modelled by our very own Little Sis after several bribes and a promise not to get her face in the shot!)
The wool was lovely and soft to work with and the pattern was indeed as easy as an easy pie who lives in easy land.
Lovely warm arms now.
What to do about the fingers ....?

These look all snuggly and gorgeous Jane. My Miss Teenager approves of the black nail polish!! xx
ReplyDeleteI love them! You did a great job. And I really like the idea of an easy pie living in easy land. That sounds delightful.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I wrote a comment and hit publish and it disappeared. I wonder where it went? LOL

Lovely work! I don't know how to knit and haven't been able to crochet much lately. Hopefully this weekend I can get back into the swing of things. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty amazing Jane. Love their length and the little thumb hole, just what you need for these chillier days ahead. Well done!! xoxo

ReplyDeleteFabulous! and the gloves are good too!!From Pam
ReplyDeleteLovely colours...I feel the urge to say 'matching socks' but I doubt they live in easy land.xx
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful, love the yarn choice.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Lovely wool, how about knitting ten smaller ones for the fingers.
ReplyDeletePerfect timing for colder weather, love the style and the colour. Maybe you could layer them for warmer fingers? Lots of lovely colours would go with them.
ReplyDeleteLove em, xx
ReplyDeleteThey are really lovely! Gorgeous colours, and how beautifully modelled!

Dear Plain Jane
ReplyDeleteHow wondrous are your knitting skills - my mum used to knit such things with fifty five needles and a little ball of wool - a few clickety clicks later a pair of gloves (with fingers mind) would appear. You have skillfully made these just in time for the icy blasts arriving. Have you tried socks?
Best wishes
Jenny
Ooh love the riot of pretty colours! ~ I have mine on today soo frosty and chilly! ~ but I didn't knit them, am afraid! :(
ReplyDeleteClever YOU! hehe..
Those long beautiful fingers remind me of my daughters....Do they belong to a pianist or some one who plays guitar, may be??
Beautifully modelled I must say...

Ps love em...!
Gorgeous. I like how long they are, so many mitts barely seem to cover the hand, and I have long arms so like the extra warmth. Yummy yarn too. I don't know about easy, I think these look pretty impressive. x
ReplyDeleteWell done you! They're lovely, and beautifully modelled.
