Such a busy week but, after the terribly sad news about Vanessa Cabban, I'm lucky to realise that it has also been a blessed one. With that in mind I'm going to limit this post to as few words as possible.
We have enjoyed...
wonderful food
Wintry weather
Colour and cheer
And surprise gifts!
But most of all the warmth of family and friends
At a time that can be - and has been - so difficult for some I feel truly blessed.
And out in the garden, under all the dead leaves and frosted ground, there are new things emerging.
And with them comes hope.
I hope that wherever you are - however big or small they may be - you all have some blessings to count.

If you have that many family and you have a warm secure roof over your head then yes you are blessed. They are the simple things in life, we often hear. Those things which many who have them take for granted, yet for those who don't have them (and many don't), they are far from simple. In fact they are the riches of the world. Many people are poor but far more are rich without knowing it or feeling it.
ReplyDeleteSo sad about Vanessa, such an amazing person and talent. Hugs to you and thank you for this beautiful post.

Great post Jane. I'm having fun coming back to get to know you a little better. Love all the family pictures. That is what holidays and life is all about. So glad I found yet another blogging friend that jumps from one projects to another like me ... Life wouldn't be so fun if we didn't follow our hearts and creative impulses ... Have a wonderful week.
