It's good for the garden
It's good for the garden
It's good for the garden
Feel better yet?
A very soggy garden
Backed by an even soggier canal
Let's jump for joy at our wonderful English rain - without it we'd all have bad backs and sunburn! (Okay that's too far but let's face it at least we won't have a hosepipe ban this year)
Yours in soggy solidarity
Jane
Oh Jane, I did chuckle - but yes, that's all you can do, really. We are very soggy here too. FAncy you having a canal behind you - I dream of narrow boats!
ReplyDeleteSame here - I have visions of drifting along on sunny evenings with crafty (!) friends and plenty of refreshments (ahem) I already have a name for the boat - The Crafty Coot!
DeleteHello Jane, I'm really not sure why I've not visited you before! Really no idea, it's an age thing! Anyway I've had a good old nosey around your blog and I've pressed the follow button so I can visit again! :) x
ReplyDeleteWell now it's lovely to have you here Ms. Sheet Addict! x
DeleteI welcomed the rain today Jane, it cooled down my sunburn! But, it can go now, it's watered the garden and the teenagers are now bored! Love the name for your 'future' narrow boat!! Mine will be 'Retired Mother'...because when the teenagers have left home that's exactly what I'll be!...I wish! Take care. Chel x
ReplyDeleteOr we could share one and call it the Retired Coots! x
DeleteNow there's a plan! x
Delete~ Window crying weather! Sigh! a big one too.. LOVE the canal picture...Boy i would dream away sat by this...On dry land mind you! Have a lovely rest of week! Fingers and toes crossed Mr sunshine shows his face again....~ Love Maria x

Your garden looks beautiful in the rain, if that's any consolation. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely glimpses of the canal. Some days it's nice to not venture out if you have the choice. Claire xo
ReplyDeleteI think i'd settle for sunburn at the moment, its freezing cold again!
ReplyDeleteOh you poor soggy thing, I'll send you some Florida sun right away.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith

Keep a twinkle in your pocket..

The weekends sunshine seems a dim and distant memory even the freckles are already fading. It maybe good for the garden but it's not good for the soul. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteI concur.. but why do I have a bad back and sunburn still?
ReplyDeleteWe have rain here in Ontario too. I keep looking out the window at my gardens planning my next big improvement! We have had LOTS of sunshine though ... two days into rain and I'm already complaining!! The canal boat idea sounds great ... let me know when you've got that arranged and I'll bring my knitting ;) Soggy hugs sloshing your way!! Wendy
ReplyDeleteIt's raining its pouring its so Blerrie boring!! The joys of half term in the rain hey. Keep dreaming of the canal boat sounds good xo.
ReplyDeleteI'd dream of a garden like that - maybe with a bit less rain!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos - but I wish it would go away now! I want some sunshine! xxxx
ReplyDeleteWell, your garden looks very lush and green! Great to be by the canal! x
ReplyDeleteNo, no, no ... rain, rain go away! How wonderful to be near the canal. M x
