'Little Red Riding Hood' by Divica Landrová
Something has been happening outside though.
The sky has gone a funny colour - not sure what you'd call it? B? Bl? Blurr - no it escapes me.
This happened
And this popped up but I've got no idea what it is or where it came from
This is still going strong
And Granny is going to be putting on her bonnet any time now
Plus this little feathery chap has been bothering me in the most delightful way
What are YOU looking at? |
Don't you just love the birds?
Happy May all!
Jane

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunshine and vibrant colour, love Spring. I think it's all the more appreciated for having to wait for it :) xx
ReplyDeleteHappy mat to you!
ReplyDeleteMeredith

DeleteHappy May to you too! let's hope this glorious weather continues!
ReplyDeleteAngie x
Happy may to you too! I hope spring weather sticks around in both of our neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics, especially the birdy one. Yes, it was glorious today. We deserve it. xx
ReplyDeleteLovely photos...looks like the bird is sun bathing! Blue sky yay :)
ReplyDeletehmmmm, the mysterious missing crafty mojo seems to be a wide spread problem..... must be something in the air? :)))))
ReplyDeleteHAs yours shown any signs of returning, Jane? I dragged a sampler (not cross stitch) out of obscurity and photographed it, wrote a lesson plan, made a flier and hoyed meself up to a shop which had been asking me to run a workshop for the last 6 months. SO....I have FORCED myself to get back into stitching. I hope more things will follow! Good luck with yours, and Happy May to you!
ReplyDeleteI know it's near - I keep having some lovely crafty ideas but when it comes to doing them it runs away again - so it's a bit like I've got the mo without the jo. I'll keep trying x
DeleteI *think* the flower might be a tulip that has opened up fully? I might be wrong - probably am - so please ignore me if that is just nonsense! :oD
ReplyDeleteWell it's definitely a bulb but unlike the other tulips it opens in the sun and closes at night - a lily perhaps?
DeleteHappy May! I love spring. I'm quite in love with your calendar picture too.
ReplyDeleteM x
You're so funny. I love this post. I really love that calendar picture too, it's very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI do believe it's called 'Spring Fever'! So hard to stay inside crafting when the flowers are blooming! Looks like you have some really lovely ones there. xx
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful? The sun is high, flowers are open and birds sing. I love the red riding hood! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThere is also now, apart from beautiful flowers, a lovely spring green mist appearing in the trees! I did wonder if they would ever burst into leaf this year. Happy May! x
ReplyDeleteExactly - I keep meaning to photograph the trees on a regular basis to chart the change in colour but never quite get around to it x
DeleteThe yellow flower is definitely a type of tulip. I had them before in my garden before somebody dug all the bulbs on me!! The open in the sun and close at night and heavy rain don't they?? If so I'm positive it's a tulip.
ReplyDeleteRosie
Aha! That would make sense as it's out at the same time as the others - thank you Detective Rosie!
DeleteI think the word your looking for I'd BLUE, yes it seems spring had indeed sprung....sit back, relax, drink tea and enjoy until the mojo returns I say! Xxx
ReplyDeleteOkey dokey x
DeleteGorgeous photos! I love that calendar image too!
ReplyDeleteAh so lovely to see a bright blue sky and pretty blooms! here's hoping the nice weather helps you find your mojo!
ReplyDeletethanks for popping by my blog. so very nice to "meet" you too x Hazel x
Perhaps your mojo and my mojo are off frolicking somewhere together. :) I definitely need to just pick up hook or needle and get to work on something. I've been enjoying reading so much as I haven't taken the time to do it in so long but it's time to create again. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteHi Jane, thanks for following me! You have a gorgeous blog and I look forward to having a good read of your posts. After losing all my photos I now need to get back blogging!! Karen :)
ReplyDeleteThat lil' fella' is around somewhere! Pretty soon he'll pop up and just like your feathery chap say, "You wanna' piece of me?" :-)
ReplyDelete~ What a cheery post! LOVE the last picture....And of course the 'wee' little girl celebrating the fabby month of May on the calendar image...~ Wishing you a kind and peace full bank holiday...We have rain here so perfect for catching up with blogging friends...hehe....~ Love Maria x
ReplyDeleteI love the way you write, you make me laugh! Yes, the blue skies and birdsong are a bit of a shock after that looooong winter, but so lovely. Although the bird that goes mental at 5am and wakes up my son can fly off, please. x
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love spring? Your flower shots are lovely. =)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that your mojo's not so very far away ... they do have a tendency to take off with boys I find ... mine's been missing for ages ... you don't suppose they're together do you?
ReplyDeleteHappy May :)
The bird is too cute and funny!!!!
