An ode to my mojo

Warning: this post contains nothing of any relevance whatsoever - nope not even any photos - and I apologise now for the dodgy rhyming!

I've lost my crafty mojo
I don't know where it's gone
I've got some works in progress
But enthusiasm - none

I know I've put it somewhere
I crocheted just last week
But somehow something's happened
And now I have to seek (ooh - very poor!)

I love my crafty mojo
It means the world to me
So if you think you see it
Please return - A.S.A.P.

Jane

  2. Aw, hey, it happens. I find the best course of action is to abandon any ongoing projects and start something neeew! ;)

  3. I think your mojo picked mine up on the way out! That's two mojos gone missing now! Sometimes a little break does wonders for the creativity (but don't quote me on that!). Have a good week, my friend.x

  5. Oh dear. Maybe you need to visit a craft store and get some inspiration. How about Pinterest? Something has gotta help! Good luck!

  6. Oh Jane that was quite cute , crafty and creative in and of itself !

  7. I think your crafty mojo just let your poetic one through for a while! It will be back - just wear the poetic one out with rhyming couplets!

  8. I think it went for a walk! Mine wanders for a while. When it returns it is stronger and more dynamic! : )

  9. Tee hee - LOVE it! Your poem, that is.. not the fact that you've misplaced your mojo. Hope you find it again soon :-)
    Happy Monday,

  10. I think that this happens to everyone at some point or another. Take some relaxing time and it'll be back before you know it.

  11. Oh I know just how you feel. My mojo up and leaves on a regular basis, I just think real life and responsibility gets in the way of it now and again and there is no point trying to force it as anything I make when not in the right frame of mind always comes out wrong. Here's to the return of the mojo ... Sarah x

  12. This is brilliant Jane! I hope you find your mojo soon (it's probably an after affect of the dreaded lurgy!). Looking forward to your future post with your 'mojo' back in situ! Chel x

  13. This was me for about three months! You'll find it hidden under a big pile of messy craft supplies...that's where mine was hiding anyway :P x

  14. There once was a gal called Plain Jane
She thought she was going insane
Losing her 'oomph' for her craft
    But that's just plain daft
After a break she'll be creating again!

  16. I'm blaming everything on the weather. I think we're all waiting with unfulfilled anticipation for the summer to arrive (or even the spring!). M x

  17. Hi Jane, do you know that's EXACTLY what has happened to me - as you've seen, my blog is currently very herbs/ cooking/ organising/ furnishing -related despite ostensibly being about textiles! I make myself go into my sewing room every now and then and pick something up, tidy something away, sort some fabric or - even - pick up a needle and thread and do some stitching! But it is very hard. Especially if you know you have several unfinished projects on the go. I have a very low boredom threshold (that's my excuse!) and can't finish one thing before I start another.

Will be ticking the 'following box' if I can find it!

  18. I think/hope that I have found your mojo - it was attached to the sun...once the sunshine appears over the yard arm your mojo should return.
    Hang on in there
    Best wishes

  19. Hi Jane
I've found it given it a good talking to and sent it back home - should arrive by morning. So all things will be bright, rosy and creative I'm so looking forward to seeing your new project.

  22. Oh dear, I wonder if it's hiding out somewhere with mine! Have only managed a couple of granny squares in the last week or so! My excuse is a new puppy! Hope all these mojos get fed up hiding out soon and come back to us!!!

  23. You're obviously quite overcome with the loss of your crafting mojo (I can tell this by the fact you decided to write a poem, only in very severe circumstances should this happen) I prescribe tea, cake, regular naps, a good film, an interesting book and it will come back when it's good and ready!
Try not to worry, it happens to the best of us.... ;D xx

  24. Oh dear! I hope you find it. I am stuck in long WIP hell, where it seems that nothing will ever be finished. That poem did make me laugh though, sorry! And thanks for sharing your plant knowledge. :-) x
