Night of the naughty knubbelchen

Can I first say how lovely it has been to receive such wonderful comments on my previous posts - thank you to all my followers - you're all fab!

Back at the K's house...
It's been a nail biting afternoon.

There has been some frantic knitting in the round.

Some double decreasing.

A little bit of hat surgery.

Some knotting of hands.

And then at approximately half past seven this evening our knubbelchen arrived.

Now for those of you who have never met a knubbelchen before there is one thing you should know.

They can be very naughty.

Immediately he danced up on to the fireplace to conspire with Mr Woodpecker.

I wonder what he wants to know?

This was followed by some frantic searching.

Nosey knubbelchen!

Until at last he seemed to be satisfied that he had found what he was looking for.

You've guessed it - knubbelchen's love a nibble.

And, after a bit of a struggle...

...he was in!

Naughty knubbelchen!

Still who could get cross with such a happy face?

So he stayed around to dance on the piano.

And sniff the flowers.

And tomorrow he will tinkle (only because he has a bell in his head you understand - he is not THAT naughty!) his way southwards to my new second cousin.

I do hope he will behave.

  2. What a great wee story and a very cheeky knubblechen. He's adorable. What yarn did you use, I love the colourway. You can cut the stamen from those lillies, it won't affect them and it will reduce the chance of any pollen falling on to things and staining them (especially naughty knubblechens!).

  3. Oooh now can you believe he has a lily stain on his naughty little face already! The yarn was Katia Tucan double knitting - really lovely with a cotton feel (even though 100 per cent nylon). Thanks for the tip!

  10. Hee hee, I hope he continues to be very naughty and make that little baby laugh and laugh! I used to make something very similar from fleece for the new babies of friends, and they're always very popular!

  20. I have been searching all over for this pattern in English and can't find it even on the link on Ravelry. I must not understand the download choices or something. Can you help?

  23. What a fun adventure your Knubbelchen had. I just finished one and wonder what naughtiness he will find.....
Hold onto your pattern...the designer has removed it from Ravelry and the web.

  24. The pattern is on Ravelry as of October 11, 2016. It has been on for a couple weeks now at least because I added it to my library a couple of weeks ago and downloaded the pattern to knit for a coworker.

  25. This pattern is sooo much easier to work up, if you use the magic loop method

  26. And ten years later where can your naughty Knubbelchen be up to now? I’ve now made over a dozen of them
